about the
artist
At the age of six, composer/guitarist Dale Rodgers dove under a bed and into his first
guitar during a game of hide and seek.  He strummed the strings and was instantly
addicted. Having composed his first solo piece for the guitar at age eight, Mr. Rodgers
has been developing his own personal style of performing and composing ever since.
While studying on scholarship in Belgium during the 1970’s Mr. Rodgers, a product of
the “folk” music era, was introduced to the classical guitar by the late guitarist Leon
Van den Eeckhout.

A native of Northern Ohio, he was born into a business family, and carries degrees in
economics and international business administration.  After a successful 20 years as
an entrepreneur, Mr. Rodgers left the business world and dedicated himself full-time
to his first love:  the guitar.

In 1998 he began his new career of composing, performing, and teaching.  He has
been featured on syndicated television programs, and has performed many concerts
and recitals with duet and ensemble groups and also as a soloist.

This past spring he completed his first CD, “Guitar Solos”.  During the summer he
performed in Europe.

Mr. Rodgers' performance instrument is a 1995 concert guitar by Canadian luthier
William Laskin.
